Quoted: Words & More

Time seems to be slipping through my fingers! I feel that every time I sit down to write something else captures my attention. As usual I hope to post about many of the experiences – but today I’m not going to promise anything since that only gets me trouble. Instead I feel compelled to at least get down some of the funnies from around our house. The boys keep me thoroughly entertained and I only wish my memory was good!

Some things I’m loving about Will right now:
* He LOVES counting to 100. I found him the other day counting all the pegs in the Battleship game. He’d lined them all up on the board and figured out there were 109. He was even more thrilled to count them all by ten.
* He believes everything is better now that he’s four. So when he wipes his own bum, it’s because he’s four. If he can pour his own milk, it’s because he’s four. If I want him to do something, all I have to do is suggest that a four year-old could do it.
* He tries to do my Yoga and Pilates with me.
* He knows most of the words to Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia – but will tell you that Raffi, David Cook or Elton John are his favorite singers.
* His dancing is a feast for the eyes. It’s a mix between yoga positions, punk moves, and an epileptic episode. And he’ll break out dancing anytime.

Some things I’m loving about Walker right now:
* Whenever he wants to know what something is called he says” What’s it calleden?” It seems to be a mix of called & then, as is “What’s it called then?” but he uses it in statements not just questions.
* Likes Queen’s bicycle and ABBA’s Super Trooper – but he doesn’t like Voulez Vous as he thinks it is scary!
* When he gets really frustrated he’ll tell me (or whoever), “I’m so exhausted of you Mom!”
* He has major three year-old mood swings – and when he’s is really pissy he scrunches his face up, closes his eyes 1/2 way, and then rolls them back. He then brings his hands up towards his chest and flops them around.
* Every morning when he wakes up he comes to find me to cuddle. Then, within five minutes, he asks for two things: a movie & pancakes. Every day.

They both love playing animals – crawling on the floor and licking milk out of bowls. My Mom bought them some costumes from Old Navy – a monkey and a mouse – and they have a great time donning those and crawling through the house.

This is such a fun age!

(the picture is of them in their new “big boy” car seats. Will finally outgrew the height in his other one!!)

Aw man, I think I screwed up the RSS I have and only put your Imagine one on it. The awesome part is that I get to catch up on all of these entries though. I love this one!
