I have to remind our family of all the things we CAN have... the one and only thing that Sage misses is Cheez-its. The hardest part of being a GF family isn't how we control it IN our house... it's how we control it when we're OUT of our house... explaining it to people, just for one meal takes longer than it does to prepare, cook and EAT the meal... you know? I would be horrible at having limits with my cooking. Obviously I don't have to worry about anything and am taking advantage of it, but then I read this and I feel horrible that you always have to worry and look for gluten-free foods.
