Snow Day

We have had a wet winter here in SoCal.
I had been thinking about winter here in California and I realized that my boys have lived here for more of their life in CA than UT. That this is more of how they envision winter than the snowy landscapes that I remember. So, since I had President’s day off I decided that the boys and I needed a Snow Day. We packed some lunches and made the 1 hour trip to “The Village” at Big Bear Lake. We speant about 2 hours exploring in the snow. As we were leaving the boys aggresively requested skiing lessons… I think next winter we will learn to snowboard. Here are the images:

Fun stuff! We have yet to take our boys to the snow. We really should. It is so close and yet we don’t go. That just might need to change. Before the snow is gone too! Glad you had a good time.
You know you’re a true Californian when your kids have galoshes instead of snow boots.
I just found out your kiddos will be visiting while Jess and I are gone! I am so sad I will miss them, but maybe they can get Addie to romp in the snow… or Mud, with them.
Miss you!
Wow you got some really fun pictures! It looks like the kids had a blast.
President’s Day is the day once we enjoy all of the Presidents that have created this particular country making challenging choices to uphold the independence.
